It has helped me direct my sessions to pull out the emotion that I desperately want to capture.

The All Heart education allows me to soak up the photography goodness at my own pace. Although the environment at a workshop is inspiring and the bonds that are created are like no other, sometimes the fast paced nature can be a bit overwhelming. I got another opportunity to learn from Stormy in 2019 at the Dream Makers Workshop. I attended my first workshop with Stormy in 2018 and it was a cathartic, creative experience that just drove my need to create even more. Her images were always so striking and emotive and I knew I had to learn from her. I first came across Stormy’s work while living in Hawaii. Getting to know families, their journey, and capturing their love continues to fuel my creative soul. One of the biggest takeaways from living in the Middle East was that the connection that’s created by sharing your story with someone is so powerful. It was an image that captured a connection and told a story. It wasn’t just a pretty picture I was after. Once I finally got the courage to start photographing people that I did not grow in my body, the drive to create beautiful images grew quickly.

A series of prop buying and terrible images followed. I started my photography journey shortly after my daughter was born in 2016. I’m a champagne snob, I love to travel and experience new cultures, and watching a beautiful sunset brings me so much joy. Together we have lived in Seattle, Hawaii, and now we’re in Monterey, CA. I worked in Qatar, after college, as a civilian contractor and that’s where I met my husband who was there on his first deployment. I will forever be a Crimson Tide football fan, and the words “roll tide” are mentioned at least once in every conversation I have with my parents. I grew up in Alabama and went to college at the University of Alabama. My sweet baby boy is just 3 months old and was born during this global pandemic. My daughter is 3 and she inspired my photography journey.
